Go Sight-Seeing on the Run in London for St Giles Hospice

Funds raised will help towards the hospice's care of local people with cancer and other serious illnessesMain St Giles Hospice is seeking sponsorship-hungry runners to take part in a 10K challenge around London’s greatest landmarks.

The charity, which cares for local people with cancer and other serious illnesses, has six places in The British 10K London Run, taking place on Sunday 1st July.

The exclusive St Giles places are available on a first come, first served basis, so keen runners will have to be quick off the mark to take advantage of this opportunity to raise money for the local hospice.

Lucky entrants will hot-foot it from Hyde Park Corner past Buckingham Palace and Nelson’s Column, see St Paul’s Cathedral before taking in the Tate Modern and Tower Bridge, and then head back towards Westminster – not forgetting to wave at the tourists on the London Eye – before crossing the finishing line in Whitehall and taking a breather in the shadow of Big Ben.

To secure your place, call Sarah Shelton in the St Giles Fundraising Team on 01543 432538 or email sarah.shelton@st-giles-hospice.org.uk.

St Giles Hospice is a registered charity offering high-quality medical and nursing care for people with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Patients come from across the hospice’s catchment area, which ranges from Ashby de la Zouch and Atherstone in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west – and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.

Care is offered at the hospice's facilities in Whittington near Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield, or in patients' own homes across the region.

The range of high-quality, specialist services are expensive to provide, and the hospice relies heavily on donations and fundraising.
