St Giles Hospice’s shop in
Aldridge is set to reveal a brand new look to bargain-hunters.
The make-over of the popular shop at The Square, Aldridge will be unveiled
on Tuesday 20th March and staff and volunteers look forward to welcoming
customers through the doors.
Lynwen Truesdale, General Manager of St Giles Hospice Shops, said: “This
is an exciting time for St Giles and for the town of Aldridge and we hope
both our loyal and new customers will love the new look store.
“All shops need to move with the times and by updating our image
we hope to encourage people through the doors who haven’t shopped
here before, and get them hooked on the range of products we always have
to offer.”
The re-fit begins on Friday 9th March and the store will be closed while
work is carried.
Donations of items are unable to be accepted during the re-fit but are
always welcome once the store re-opens. Further information is available
by contacting the shop on 01922 744319.
Items can also be donated at any of the charity’s fourteen shops,
based in major towns throughout the hospice's patient catchment area,
which ranges from Ashby de la Zouch and Atherstone in the east, to Cannock
and Walsall in the west – and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north,
to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.
Last year the hospice shops raised more than £500,000 - and every
penny is desperately needed by St Giles. The registered charity based
in Whittington near Lichfield spends over £5million caring for local
people with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as providing support
for their families and carers, and relies heavily on the support of local
people to enable its valuable
work to continue.
