St
Giles' Bereavement Service offers confidential support and counselling
for those who have experienced the death of a relative, to help them adjust
to their loss.
The dedicated team caters both
for adults and children, and offers an opportunity for people to share
their feelings and experiences with someone from outside their immediate
family circle.
St Giles recognises that grieving
is a normal process and can affect people in different ways, whether emotionally,
physically, socially or in many other areas.
As
such, the sensitive and caring staff have developed a range of services
and can tailor the support provided to meet specific needs - including
one-to-one counselling and group sessions.
The highly-praised Bereavement
Service has also gained recognition outside the hospice and is now in
demand from the wider community. A limited number of places are available
to those whose loved ones were
not cared for at St Giles.
If you feel that the Bereavement
Service may be of benefit to you, or are a health professional looking
to refer a patient to the service, contact
