Charity Christmas Card Shop Opens In Lichfield |
|
22 October 2003
The Midlands Charities Association Christmas Card Shop is now open at the Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum on Breadmarket Street. It's offering a wide range of different cards from a selection of charities all working to aid the relief of human suffering - including Lichfield's own St Giles Hospice, which has organised the shop. With the shop staffed by volunteers, an estimated 99% of proceeds from the sale of the cards will go to the charities taking part. The shop was officially opened today (Wednesday 22 October) by Mayor of Lichfield Councillor Barry White. The shop will be open until 17th December, with opening hours from 12 noon to 4.30pm, seven days a week. |
