St Giles Hospice is offering the chance to win hot new wheels in time for the summer sunshine – and help local people at the same time.

The popular hospice lottery is celebrating its 10th anniversary by giving away a stunning brand new Vauxhall Corsa to one lucky player.

Over the past 10 years the lottery has brought in more than £7m through ticket sales – funding care for one in five patients living with cancer and other serious illnesses – so joining this lottery has never been more worthwhile.

Sponsored by Steve Thompson Cars of Lichfield, this superb bonus prize worth nearly £9,000, is in addition to the standard weekly prize fund of over £3,000. There are also an additional one-hundred £5 vouchers available for this special draw.

To be in with the chance to win one of these fantastic anniversary prizes, new players must join the hospice lottery before the 6th July and ensure that St Giles has received their payment of £13, £26 or £52 by this date. Payments received after this date will be placed in the following week’s normal lottery draw.

This special anniversary draw is in addition to the Big Birthday Bash which was also held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the lottery.

Visitors came from across the region to join in the fun at the summer fete-style event at Catton Hall, near Burton upon Trent on Saturday 2nd June – and with tug of war, fairground games and a teddy bears’ picnic, it was truly a party to remember!

St Giles Hospice is one of the best-known and most respected charities in the region, offering high-quality nursing and medical care for people with cancer and other serious illness, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Patients come from across the hospice’s catchment area, which ranges from Ashby de la Zouch in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west – and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.

Care is offered at the hospice's facilities in Sutton Coldfield and Whittington between Lichfield and Tamworth, or in patients’ own homes across the region.

St Giles spends over £5 million every year providing its specialist services. With just a third of this funded by the Government, the registered charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising.
