Light Up A Life
Last year’s Light up a Life services were a great success, with hundreds of people from across the region taking the opportunity to remember the lives of loved ones they have lost.
Seven services were held at churches and venues throughout the area during December, including three new events held for the first time last year in Walsall, Aldridge and Tamworth.
The Tamworth service at St Editha’s Church was a particular success as 200 people attended to share special memories of friends and relatives who have passed away. As part of each service, lights were switched on as a tribute to the loved ones being remembered and the Light up a Life Book of Memories was available to view.
The Book of Memories, featuring poignant messages of remembrance from local people, will remain on display at St Giles in Whittington and Walsall throughout 2012.
