COVID-19: Latest information

How we are working to keep our patients and visitors safe

Due to the evolving situation with Coronavirus, we have made the decision that it is in everyone’s best interests to restrict patient visitors.

Until further notice we ask that you please observe the following:

  • 2 visitors per patient at any one time.

We ask that they remain by the patient bedside and do not wander around the rest of the inpatient unit. Please ensure hands are washed prior to visiting the patient and after you have visited them. Should you need a nurse please use the nurse call bell in the room.

  • Should you have symptoms of a high temperature or new continuous cough, please refrain from visiting.

Please self-isolate for at least 14 days after the onset of your symptoms. Information about self-isolation from Public Health England can be found at:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-people-with-confirmed-or-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

  • The temperature of all visitors will be checked on arrival.

If your temperature is over 37.8 degrees as per government guidelines you will unfortunately not be able to visit.

We appreciate your support with this. The measures we have put in place are to ensure we can continue to care for people and protect patients, staff and visitors.

Should you have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to ask for one of the senior nursing team.
