Leading and Managing Services to Support End of Life

This 5 day course will give Managers and Deputies the knowledge and skills in a range of areas related to end of life care to develop provision and manage staff effectively to provide excellent care.

The course starts on the 10th January, and runs over 4 months with one approximately 1 classroom day per month.

The course is aimed at registered managers and deputies within a care home, nursing home or residential home setting.

It will include ;

  • Leadership styles and organisational culture
  • Leading a service that supports individuals through significant life events
  • Assessment documentation and advance care planning
  • Teamwork and collaborative working
  • Managing change
  • Communication
  • Coaching, reflection and clinical supervision
  • Staff support and wellbeing

Dates:     10th January 2019, 7th February 2019, 7th March 2019, 28th March and 12th April 2019.           

This is a FREE Course – Places are funded by Health Education England for Learners working within the Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Partnership STP Area.  £300.00 per person will be charged for non attendance.

Includes Sandwich Lunch.
