The aim of this workshop is to explore issues related to the proactive support of people with learning disabilities experiencing loss, change and bereavement. Guided case studies, group work and video footage will be used to identify the inherent issues; nurture a shared dialogue; and explore practical responses to supporting grief work in a person centred way with this marginalized population

This workshop is being facilitated by Dr Sue Read, Professor of Learning Disability Nursing, Research Director; School International Director, Keele University, and is suitable for anyone supporting people with a learning disability, whether as a clinician, practitioner, volunteer or personal carer.

Tea, coffee and a  sandwich lunch will be provided, so please advise when booking if you have any dietary requirements.
