Summer school

Our Summer School enables students aged 16-18 to learn more about what it’s like to work in the care sector in a wide range of career paths including nursing, medicine, health care assistants, physiotherapy and occupational therapy.

It runs for five days over three weeks, including a work experience placement in the hospice. There are 20 places available offered on completion of an application form and an interview.

All the staff teaching on the summer school are qualified to teach as well as being practitioners within the care profession.

If you would like more information, email: education@stgileshospice.com or call 01543 434532.

“A hospice isn’t a bad or sad place. It’s a place full of life and new hope where families and patients are supported through their journey.”
