How your support helps – Sarah’s story

Sarah Leech and her family supported Celebrate Lives Lived this year, after Sarah’s sister Lynn, was cared for at St Giles.

Sarah said: “Celebrate Lives Lived creates such a special moment and a wonderful place to come and visit – seeing the rows of names and dedications is incredibly poignant and it shows how much all of our loved ones are missed.

“I felt comforted knowing Lynn was at St Giles, she was given the care and the attention that she needed with so much dignity.

“It costs around £10million for St Giles Hospice to provide its specialist care services each year – and every Celebrate Lives Lived dedication helps to support families like mine.

“The support that St Giles gives is second to none. The kindness everybody shows to the patients, and their relatives, is absolutely superb. The world would be a much sadder place if St Giles wasn’t there. It’s a light shining in the darkness for those going through end of life care with members of their family. Thank you so much.”

With special thanks to South Staffordshire College and Trophy Store for supporting Celebrate Lives Lived 2023.
