Fundraise your way to make Christmas Day!
The cost of providing inpatient care on Christmas Day alone is over £16,000.
So, whether you do your bit in a Santa Claus knit, or donate your Christmas plate, please support us this festive season and help make Christmas count for our patients and their families.
With the cancellation of many events throughout 2020, we’re all the more determined to have a ‘cracking’ Christmas! We’d love you to join in the festive fun and enjoy lots of safe and flexible fundraising ideas.
Scroll down below to see six ways you could raise – whether you’re at home, work or school – and request your Festive Fundraising Pack today. Please note, packs will be available from Friday 30th October.
Thank you so much for your support. We’ve never needed you more than we need you today.

Jolly Jumper Day
Wherever you are, be sure to wear your wonderful woolly on Friday 11th December (or a day of your choice!) and make a suggested donation of £1.
Donate Your Christmas Plate
Our #DonateYourPlate campaign has been given a Christmas twist! Donate £5 when you dine in or out this December, which could pay for patient meals here at St Giles.
Festive Fundraising Poster
Write a merry message on our Festive Fundraising Poster for your family, friends or colleagues to see. Then, pop £1 in the collection box to help fund our care.
Pick up your prop, strike a pose and snap a #StGilesElfieSelfie. Then, share it with us on social media and donate £1! (prop included in your Festive Fundraising Pack)
Secret Santa Swap
Instead of taking part in Secret Santa this year, why not donate the funds you would’ve spent to our hospice? There’s no gift as great as the gift of care.

In your Festive Fundraising Pack, you’ll receive:
- Lots of fabulous fundraising ideas
- Our Festive Fundraising Poster to write your merry messages on

Our care doesn’t stop at Christmas time
“This festive season, our staff will be creating special memories with patients and their families – for many of whom, this Christmas may sadly be their last.
“It’s only thanks to your support that we can give the gift of care. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us to be there for local people at this really important time of year.”
– Katie Burbridge, Clinical Director
