In 2019, Craig Ruff and his family formed “Team Tone” to run the Tamworth Gate Gallop for St Giles in memory of his father Tony.

In October, Craig and his sister Danielle also ran the Great Birmingham Half Marathon in aid of the hospice.

“When I did the half marathon, I had moments where I struggled, but that was nothing compared to the effort St Giles put in to caring for dad,” Craig explained.

“St Giles is such an important local charity. You always feel cared for there and it’s such a comforting place.

“I’d run to the ends of the earth to give St Giles the funds to help people like dad and families like us.”
