Volunteer for us

Volunteers are essential to what we do at St Giles. In fact, we currently have almost 1,000 volunteers donating over 6,000 hours of time each week. Whether you give an hour, a day or become a lifelong volunteer with St Giles – your time will make a difference to the patients and families we care for.

Volunteer’s Week

It’s Volunteer’s Week from 1st – 7th  June – a fantastic opportunity to say thank you to our brilliant volunteers who help in all areas at St Giles. It’s also an opportunity to showcase our volunteer roles and invite you to join our team. By getting involved as a volunteer you can enjoy an exciting new challenge, meet new people, and do something different!

This year the theme for Volunteer’s Week is ‘Volunteering for all’ and so we decided to take volunteering on tour! Come and see us at any of the locations below and chat to us about all things volunteering:

Monday 4th June

Three Spires Shopping Centre, Lichfield, 10 – 12pm

Cannock Town Centre, Cannock, WS11 1JR, 2 – 4pm

Wednesday 6th June

Join our team

We’d love to see you at one of our open evenings where you’ll learn more about St Giles, hear from current volunteers and find out how to apply.

These sessions last about one hour and are held at St Giles Hospice in Whittington.

Please note, if you are interested in volunteering in one of our shops please pop along to your local shop or contact the shop manager directly.

“Volunteering has given me a real sense of purpose and I never realised the self-reward I would feel from giving my time. I have made new friends and have met some incredible people and I feel very welcomed.”

– Julie, Volunteer Hairdresser.
