St Giles Hospice is inviting local people to dig out their winter woolies from the back of the wardrobe and get involved with one of its festive fundraisers, Jolly Jumper Day.

Jolly Jumper Day is set to take place on Friday 9th December, but if this doesn’t work for you, you can take part on any day throughout December!

The annual event sees local people, businesses and schools raise vital funds for St Giles Hospice whilst donning their favourite Christmas jumper.

A number of local businesses have already signed up to take part in the festive fundraiser, including; Burntwood Leisure Centre, Embello Printing and the Lichfield Garrick.

Matt Clay, Interim Executive Manager at the Lichfield Garrick, said: “Jolly Jumper Day is a real winter warmer for everyone and a great way to raise money for St Giles Hospice, such an important local cause!

“We always look forward to taking part every year and are delighted to be supporting the annual festive fundraiser again. Lichfield Garrick will be splitting their annual charity bucket collection with St Giles to support their 40th Anniversary celebrations and charitable work they do in our community.”

Chloe Hope, Head of Fundraising at St Giles Hospice, said: “It’s wonderful to see our communities come together to support St Giles Hospice. Jolly Jumper Day is fantastic fun and is the perfect event to get you in the festive mood!

It costs £10 million to deliver the care we provide each year and there is a growing need for our services. Only a third of our running costs are provided by the Government, so we rely on the generosity of our community, on days like Jolly Jumper Day, to help us to continue to provide our vital care to local people, and their families, living with a terminal illness.

“If you’re thinking about buying a new jumper this year, why not shop sustainably and have a look in one of our St Giles Hospice shops to see what we have on offer.”

To take part, get together with friends, family, colleagues or classmates, throw on your favourite jumper on Friday 9th December, and make a suggested donation of £3 per person to St Giles Hospice. To find out more, visit:
