Olly’s Activity Pack

Introducing… Olly the Orange!

To keep your little ones entertained, especially now schools have started to shut, we’ve created an awesome Activity Pack featuring our adorable new mascot, Olly the Orange.

From dot to dot, to arts and crafts, there’s 13 pages of puzzles and projects perfect for primary school children – and all we’re asking for in return is a minimum donation of £3.

Like all charities, we’re very worried about the impact the coronavirus outbreak will have on our income, with us having no choice but to cancel many of our vital fundraising events.

It costs more than £10 million every single year to deliver the care we provide and our incredible staff are coming to work, whilst everyone else is staying safe at home.

So, download your Olly the Orange Activity Pack today and help us to continue to care for our patients throughout these extremely uncertain times.

We’ve never needed you more than we need you today.

Thank you so much.

Supporters making a donation of £5 and over are eligible to receive a copy of the pack in the post (in addition to the downloadable pack). If you would like to receive a pack in the post please tick the box above.

For every £1 you give we get an extra 25p from HMRC. To enable St Giles to reclaim the tax on your donation simply tick the box above and complete your full name, home address and postcode. Your details support our tax claim and will not be used to contact you.

By ticking the box headed Gift Aid, I confirm that I am a UK Income or Capital Gains taxpayer. I have read this statement and want St Giles Hospice to reclaim tax on my donation. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax / or Capital Gains tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all of my donations, it is my responsibility to settle any tax liability that may arise.

Simply encourage your little ones to draw a picture for our patients, which you can find on page 10 of the pack. Then, send us their masterpiece in one of the following ways:

  1. By post: Send your picture/s to the following address: Olly the Orange Competition, St Giles Hospice, Fisherwick Road, Whittington, Lichfield, WS14 9LH
  2. On social media: Share your picture/s with us on social media using the hashtag #OllyOrange – and be sure to tag us, too!

Due to popular demand, we’ve extended our competition until 1st July! All pictures received by then will be entered into our prize draw to win a family ticket to Ash End House Children’s Farm at a later date.

Plus, we’ll be displaying the pictures at our hospice to spread some joy during these difficult times.

Our Clinical Director, Katie, will be selecting the lucky winner on Monday 6th July. Good luck. We can’t wait to see them! For T&Cs, click here.

We’ve never needed you more than we need you today.

We’ve recognised for a very long time that it takes a community to make a hospice and, in light of the current coronavirus outbreak, we’ve never needed you more than we need you today.

As a hospice we are experiencing a big increase in people needing palliative care at this time.

Our shops have had to close, our events are being cancelled and our income has almost dried up. We are now reliant on donations to continue our work.

We’re continuing to deliver care to some of the most vulnerable people in your local community, but it costs £850,000 every month just to keep our service going.

By taking part in Orange April, you will be helping to raise vital funds for ‘Katie’s Appeal’ to allow us to continue our essential work.

We need you, our patients need you. Thank you so much.

Katie Taroni, Clinical Director
