Dementia is a growing challenge.
Every day, almost 600 people in the UK develop dementia. People over 65 are more likely to get dementia, but it can affect younger people too, presenting different issues for the person affected, their carer and their family.
This 1 day course is aimed at Health and Social Care Support Workers to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the following;
- What is Dementia
- The role of the Admiral Nurse
- Dementia at End of Life
- Community Engagement and planning ahead
- Importance of working creatively in Dementia
- Support for Carers
- Tools to take away
FREE – This study day is free to attend, places are funded by Health Education England for Learners within the Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Partnership STP Area.
Includes Sandwich Lunch
