Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.
Under the new CQC inspection regime, hospices are subject to the same level of scrutiny as hospitals.
The commission monitors, inspects and regulates services to ensure fundamental standards of quality and safety are met.
