Women’s Cancer Support

Our specialist Women’s Cancer Support Service is here to support you every step of the way.

Living with cancer is not easy but for many women, additional difficulties can have a very real impact on their physical and emotional wellbeing. Our team of qualified nurses offer confidential advice and information to women, and their loved ones, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Based at our Sutton Coldfield site, this service is available to women living with the effects of any cancer and the impact of its treatments. We work alongside healthcare professionals and other services in the community, to help support your long-term wellbeing both emotionally and physically.

We focus on cancer symptoms and treatments which can impact on body image, sexuality, relationships and wellbeing. Whether it’s treatment-induced menopause, fear of intimacy, or loss of self-esteem, we offer a place to talk in complete confidence about whatever matters most to you.

We also offer a free monthly support group where you can connect with other women aged 18-50 and receive support from a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Based at our Sutton Coldfield site, the group meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 12pm in the café area for informal time with other group members, followed by a facilitated group session at 1pm. There is no need to book or refer for this, you’re welcome to attend at your convenience.
