Rebecca Powell joined St Giles Hospice earlier this year as our Inpatient Unit Manager. She said “It is an incredible privilege to lead such a dedicated and compassionate team”.
Every day, Rebecca sees how much your support matters. She said: “The teams across the hospice are not just providing vital medical care, they are helping patients, and their loved ones, feel comfortable and cared for.
“This is especially true at Christmas. The team talk about what a privilege it is to work at the hospice during Christmas time. They go above and beyond to decorate rooms, organise celebrations, and arrange for families to share a Christmas lunch together, creating cherished memories during what can be a very difficult time.
“While the festive period can be a challenging time for patients, with many wondering if it will be their last Christmas, the team strive to make it as special and memorable as possible.”
