Volunteer with us

Volunteers are vital to the work that we do here at St Giles, and we simply couldn’t do it without them. 75% of our workforce is made up of volunteers, so they truly lie at the heart of #TeamStGiles!

We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities including fundraising and administrative support, working as part of our reception team, in our shops and even supporting patients in their daily activities.

By volunteering you can enjoy an exciting new challenge, meet new people, and do something different with colleagues, friends, or family. Whether you give an hour, a day or become a regular volunteer with St Giles – your time will make a difference to local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness.

St Giles Hospice Volunteers are proud recipients of The Queens Award for Voluntary Service.

Created in 2002 to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee, the Award has been shining a light on the fantastic work of voluntary groups from all across the UK for many years.

Equivalent to an MBE, KAVS is the highest Award given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and they are awarded for life.
