Join our clinical volunteer team

Are you interested in volunteering in a patient-facing role? As a volunteer in our clinical team, you will play a vital role in helping patients, and their loved ones, feel cared about, comfortable, and relaxed. 

The role of the volunteer is to support the structure and organisation of the Inpatient Unit to ensure that every patient and their loved ones have a positive experience.

We’ll provide you with a thorough induction and training so that you’re ready to take on your new volunteer role as part of #TeamStGiles!

Ward Reception Volunteers

Location: Whittington

What does it involve? We’re looking for a number of volunteers to help out on our Ward Reception from late afternoon/early evening.

Volunteering hours: 1 person per evening, Wednesday 5pm – 7:30pm, Friday 10am – 2pm, Friday 5pm – 7:30pm, Saturday 9am – 1pm and Sunday 9am – 1pm.

Complementary Therapy Volunteers

Location: Whittington

What does it involve? We’re looking for new volunteers who are trained in at least two of the main therapies (massage, aromatherapy, reflexology).

Volunteering hours: One morning or afternoon each week, plus occasional training and complementary therapy team meetings.

Outpatients Clinic Receptionist

Location: Whittington

What does it involve? We’re looking for volunteers to help in our outpatients clinic, the job includes usual reception duties, including taking phone calls and booking appointments and help the practitioners with admin duties when required.

Volunteering hours: Tuesday 9am – 1pm and Friday 9am – 1pm.
