If you don’t have a real tree you can still support TreeCycle by making a general donation and selecting ‘TreeCycle’ as your reason for donating.
Your support makes a real difference, thank you.
Volunteers are absolutely crucial to the success of TreeCycle and we need 250 of you to support us across four different roles.
All volunteers will be given refreshments, PPE, cleaning materials and a full briefing.
If your employer offers you a day to volunteer for charity – we’d love to hear from you too!
Our collection dates will run from Saturday 9th – Tuesday 12th January 2027. You can book your collection anytime until Monday 4th January 2027.
If you can’t find your postcode in the list provided below, unfortunately we do not collect as part of our Christmas tree recycling campaign in your area.
We are only able to collect in certain locations due to the availability of our volunteers during this time.
If your tree is larger than 10ft, please select the ‘Over 10ft’ section in the booking form and a member of the fundraising team will be in touch to discuss arranging your collection.
The collections are managed by our kind volunteers in hired Luton vans. It is not always safe for them to collect trees of this size, and they may find it difficult to fit them in the vans. We have a volunteer from Lichfield Treeworks to support with larger collections.
We’re asking for donations to help support St Giles Hospice and the work we do within the community. We’re happy to collect more than one tree from any location and offer a discount on the suggested donation amount:
Unfortunately, our TreeCycle volunteers are unable to collect anything other than un-decorated Christmas trees. If you would like to donate your pre-loved goods, please visit your local St Giles Hospice Shop. We also offer a free furniture collection service.
Please leave your tree in a clearly visible and accessible location at the front of your house. Our volunteers are unable, under any circumstance, to enter your property (e.g. house, garden, shed). If your tree is not in a clearly visible and accessible location, our volunteers will unfortunately not be able to return to collect it.
Our volunteers will be collecting Christmas trees booked in between Saturday 9th – Tuesday 12th January 2027. Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide a more specific collection date as our volunteers are working through the entire list of bookings throughout this period.
Trees will be collected from Saturday 9th January 2027 until Tuesday 12th January 2027. Our volunteers will be working through the entire list of bookings during this time so, unfortunately, we are not able to specify a collection day or time. Please ensure your Christmas trees are left in a clearly visible, accessible, and unobstructed location outside of your property. If your tree hasn’t been collected by Wednesday 13th January 2026, please email treecycle@stgileshospice.com or call 01543 432538 and the fundraising team will be in touch.
Your real Christmas trees are kindly recycled at Greener Composting, Lichfield, where they are used for compost for agricultural purposes. For more information, please visit www.greenercomposting.co.uk
We couldn’t run our TreeCycle without the generous support of our community.
