Our Enhanced Respite Service provides support for carers in Sutton Coldfield who are looking after loved ones in the final year of their life.
The service consists of weekly visits to enable carers – defined as anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend – to rest and take a much-needed break.
Plus, our Enhanced Respite Service also provides carers with the resources, knowledge, skills and support they need to carry out their caring roles, including learning in:

- Cognitive and sensory impairment
- Mobility and environment
- Diet, nutrition, mouth care, skin care and continence
- Benefits advice, engaging with your community and advance care planning
- Building resilience, basic complementary therapy and relaxation techniques
If you are registered with a GP in the Sutton Coldfield area with a postcode of B72, B73, B74, B75 or B76 you can be referred by your GP, Specialist Nurse, District Nurse or any healthcare professional.
