Celebrate Lives Lived

Date: 1st – 31st May 2024

Locations: Whittington and Sutton Coldfield

Overview: Whilst the deadline has now passed to have a Gerbera peg planted, you can still dedicate a Gerbera flower in our virtual garden.

Our gardens are open throughout May

We look forward to remembering the lives of loved ones this May with our beautiful gardens in Whittington and Sutton Coldfield.

Throughout May, you’re invited to visit the gardens to see your Gerbera peg and take a moment to reflect on the lives of loved ones you hold dearest.

At the end of the month, we’ll let you know when you can collect your Gerbera peg to display in your home or garden.

Whilst the deadline has now passed to have a Gerbera peg planted, you can still dedicate a Gerbera flower in our virtual Celebrate Lives Lived garden. To visit our virtual garden or to make a dedication, please click here.

How your support helps – Ali’s story

Ali Callear, Community and Family Services Practitioner at St Giles Hospice, has been working alongside the local community to provide a safe and supportive space for those experiencing loss and grief.

Ali said: “I see every day in my role the impact St Giles has on our community. Whether that be providing bereavement support at one of our Bereavement Help Points, or working closely with our communities to support people who are affected by or caring for someone with a terminal illness.

Celebrate Lives Lived is a wonderful way to support St Giles, whilst remembering the special person who you’ve lost. Plus, its also a lovely way for the whole family to celebrate them too.”

“I’d encourage everyone to make a Celebrate Lives Lived dedication – its a perfect way to remember your loved ones who are no longer with us, whether you’ve experienced the care and support of St Giles or not.

Every donation, however big or small, makes such a difference to the families and loved ones myself and the rest of my colleagues at St Giles support at such difficult times. Thank you so much.”
